Apartments number 40 and houses 36, with 11 commercial properties, 4 plots and 1 villa. Five-bedroom or larger properties are the biggest bedroom group at 30, then 19 two-bedroom, 12 one-bedroom, 12 three-bedroom and 9 four-bedroom. The upper quartile of nearly €2.8 million reflects large chalets at altitude. Also look at the Swiss apartment, house and penthouse pages.
The municipality includes Villars-sur-Ollon, Chesières, Huémoz and the Rhône-valley villages, so the market has two faces: ski-resort chalets and flats at 1,200 metres, and cheaper valley homes. Villars offers skiing, summer hiking, international schools in the area and views across the Alps. The Aigle-Leysin-Villars rail line and roads connect to Aigle, and Montreux and Lake Geneva are about 30 minutes away by car. Buyers are Swiss and foreign second-home owners, families wanting mountain living and some who commute to the Lake Geneva region.
The Lex Koller law restricts foreigners living abroad from buying Swiss property, and non-EU residents have limits too. Holiday homes are allowed only in designated tourist resorts and within cantonal quotas, and Switzerland's second-home law limits new secondary homes where they exceed 20% of housing, so existing homes matter. Notary fees and cantonal property transfer duties vary (verify). A Swiss mortgage usually needs about 20% equity, with at least half of that coming from non-pension funds. See the Swiss buying guide and financing page.
In Ollon you must confirm the Lex Koller position before you fall for the view.
Nearby places include Aigle, Monthey, Veytaux, Montreux, La Tour-de-Peilz and Leytron. See the Switzerland page.

Villars-sur-Ollon is part of the municipality of Ollon, so many Villars listings carry the Ollon name.
Only under tight Lex Koller rules and cantonal quotas, so seek legal advice first.
Roughly 30 minutes by car, depending on the route and traffic.
Swiss lenders typically want about 20% equity, with limits on pension-fund contributions.
The valley villages are typically less expensive than Villars, so compare each listing.
