Woodland Hills is anchored by Warner Center, a cluster of office towers, a major shopping district and apartment complexes, and it has a community college campus. Residential streets north and south of Ventura Boulevard hold ranch-style homes, and the Santa Monica Mountains rise to the south with canyon-edge properties that bring views and fire-season considerations. Summers are hot, often well above 35 degrees Celsius.
Neighbours include Encino to the east, Chatsworth to the north-west and Sherman Oaks and Studio City further east. Westlake Village lies over the county line to the west, and Santa Monica is on the coast on the other side of the mountains, a different and pricier market.
