Apartments are 244 listings, houses 92 and land 16. Bedrooms: 83 have two, 82 have one, 70 have three, 57 have five or more, 23 are studios and 21 have four. In Westchester many apartments are co-ops, where a board approves buyers and financing is restricted, while condos are simpler for investors and foreign buyers. Check which structure a listing is. See US apartments and houses for comparison.
Yonkers has a Hudson River waterfront downtown around Getty Square, residential hills such as Park Hill, the quiet Crestwood area and the Bronxville-adjacent districts. Metro-North Hudson Line trains reach Grand Central in roughly 30 to 40 minutes depending on the station, and the Metro-North Harlem Line is nearby. Subway connections at the Bronx border are close. Downtown has been redeveloped with new apartment buildings.
Property taxes in Westchester are among the highest in the US, so check the annual tax bill, not only the price.
There is no federal ban on foreign buyers, but lenders often want large deposits from non-residents. Closing costs include attorney fees, title insurance and mortgage recording tax if you borrow. Condos and co-ops add monthly charges. FIRPTA withholding of 15% applies to foreign sellers. Review our US consultation guide, financing guide and US market overview.
Bronxville and Scarsdale are expensive Westchester suburbs, White Plains and New Rochelle are other city centres, Bronx is south, and Fort Lee is across the Hudson in New Jersey.

Yes, but financing is tougher and co-ops may reject foreign applicants.
