Types: 120 houses, 53 land, 48 apartments, 10 commercial and 5 studios. Three-bedroom homes (49) lead, followed by four-bedroom (20), five-plus (17), two-bedroom (15) and one-bedroom (10). Many houses are older family homes in villages around the town, which makes renovation budgets important. Look at Slovak houses and apartments for the national spread.
Levice is a district town on the Hron river in the Tekov region, with a castle, a hospital, schools, shops and industry. It is not a tourist hub; its draw is price. Bratislava is a couple of hours away, and the Hungarian border is close, as are Komárno and Nitra. Some buyers are from Hungary, Czechia and Austria looking for inexpensive property; locals form most of the market.
If you want more services, Nitra is the regional city, while Banská Štiavnica offers a UNESCO-listed hill town. Other nearby towns include Komárno, Zlaté Moravce, Žarnovica and Krupina.
Slovakia uses the euro. Foreigners can generally buy apartments and houses, while land, especially agricultural and forest land, is more restricted. Ownership is registered at the cadastral office after the purchase contract, and a lawyer or escrow arrangement is common for protection. Slovakia has no general property transfer tax for buyers, but cadastral and legal fees apply (approx., verify locally).

It is a working town rather than a resort. Buyers choose it for affordability, not tourism.
Generally yes for houses and flats, but agricultural and forest land are restricted. Confirm with a Slovak lawyer.
The median listing is 110 m², and three-bedroom homes are the most common.
Many do. Get a structural survey and check heating, roofing and utilities.
