Buyer's guide: Sagarejo
Sagarejo is a town in Georgia's Kakheti wine region, east of Tbilisi, and it offers some of the lowest per-metre prices we list: median asking price GEL 162,000 and GEL 415 per m², in Georgian lari as in the source. Reported sizes are large, with a median of 552 m², which suggests plots are included.

| Measure | Sagarejo |
|---|---|
| Median asking price | GEL 162,000 |
| Median price per m² | GEL 415 |
| Median reported size | 552 m² |

Of the listings with bedroom counts, six have three bedrooms, three have five or more, two have two and two have four. Property types are not recorded for these listings, so check each advert for house, plot or vineyard. The per-m² figure is most useful for comparison between rural listings, not against flats in Tbilisi.
The town lies on the road from Tbilisi into Kakheti, a region of vineyards, small wineries and mountain views. Telavi is the regional centre, and the Tsinandali estate and many wine cellars are nearby. Buyers include wine lovers, those who want rural plots near Tbilisi and investors in agritourism.
See Telavi and Tsinandali for the wine heartland, and Nasaguri and Didi Lilo for villages close to Tbilisi. Rustavi and Gardabani are industrial towns south-east of the capital, separate markets from Sagarejo.
Foreigners can buy houses and non-agricultural land in Georgia, but not agricultural land, and vineyards and farmland are usually agricultural. A lawyer should check the cadastral category, boundaries and any mortgages in the public registry. A property purchase of $150,000 or more supports a residence route from 1 March 2026; confirm the terms. See our Georgia consultation guide, financing page and the Georgia overview.

Probably not as a foreign individual, since vineyards are usually agricultural land. Check the category.
Large plots are included in the area figure, so rural prices per m² are much lower than urban flats.
Sagarejo is east of the capital on the Kakheti road, within a drive of an hour or two depending on traffic.
No, they are in Georgian lari.
