Apartments (18) are the largest group, closely followed by commercial properties (16), plots of land (11) and houses (8). Twenty-seven listings show zero bedrooms, because they are commercial or land. Among homes, 6 have two bedrooms, 5 have five or more, and 2 each have three and four. The large commercial share pulls up the median and the spread. Check the Slovenian apartment listings, commercial page and land listings.
Maribor is Slovenia's second-largest city, on the Drava river in the north-east, close to Austria and the Pohorje hills, with a ski area above the city. The historic Lent quarter sits on the river and is home to a vine said to be the world's oldest. The city has a university, hospitals and a recovering industrial base. Slovenia's capital Ljubljana is about 130 km away and Celje is the nearest of the cities in our list, around 55 km south-west. Koper is on the Adriatic coast, far to the south-west, so it is a separate market. Buyers include Slovenes, Austrians and investors in student and office rentals.
Slovenia is in the euro area. EU citizens can buy on the same terms as Slovenes; for non-EU buyers, reciprocity rules apply, so confirm eligibility early. Resale purchases normally pay a 2% real estate transfer tax, while new homes carry VAT instead. Notary and land-registry fees are modest. A Slovenian lawyer should check the land register, any easements and the building's energy certificate.

Generally yes. Our median here is €1,858 per m², though a direct comparison needs like-for-like properties.
It depends on reciprocity with their home country. EU citizens are treated like Slovenes.
2% on resale properties; new builds carry VAT instead.
Maribor's industrial history leaves many office and workshop units on the market.
