The stock is 62 houses, 8 land plots, 5 commercial properties, 3 apartments and 2 villas. Where bedrooms are stated, 10 listings have two, 9 have three and 2 each have one, four or five or more. The spread from about €13,000 to nearly €59,000 across the middle half separates older neighbourhood houses from newer colonies. See houses in India and land in India.
Jabalpur sits on the Narmada River in eastern Madhya Pradesh. The marble gorge at Bhedaghat and the Dhuandhar waterfall are the sights, and the city has the state High Court, ordnance factories and army establishments, which underpin steady government and defence employment. It lies on the main Mumbai to Howrah railway corridor and has its own airport.
Housing demand is local: employees of institutions, families upgrading from rented rooms, and returning retirees. Short rental yields are modest and tenants are mostly long-term.
A buyer who is not an Indian citizen needs to confirm eligibility first. Non-Resident Indians and Overseas Citizens of India can generally acquire residential and commercial property, but not agricultural land; other foreign nationals living abroad usually cannot buy. Hire a local advocate to trace the sale deed chain, check mutation in municipal records, confirm the plot is inside an approved layout and look for unpaid dues. Stamp duty and registration differ by state and can add several percent to the price.

None of our linked cities is close: Gurgaon, Kolkata and Ahmedabad are far-off metros priced much higher. Use the India property overview to explore the rest.

Incomes are lower, land is plentiful, and most homes are older independent houses. Median ask is €22,168, or €355 per m².
Only if they are an NRI or OCI under Indian rules, and not for farmland. Other foreign nationals living abroad generally cannot.
The update of municipal records to the new owner's name after a sale; without it, taxes and later resale become difficult.
Rents are low in absolute terms, so total income is small; evaluate against your purchase price and management cost.
