Indore combines trade, IT and manufacturing, and the nearby Pithampur industrial belt adds jobs. The city has a growing airport, IIT Indore and IIM Indore, and a metro line has been under construction in phases. Neighbourhood quality varies a lot, so inspect roads, water supply and power backup. Other Indian markets in our data include Gurgaon, Ahmedabad and Kolkata, although these are in other states and not nearby.
Indian rules are strict. Non-resident Indians and Overseas Citizens of India can generally buy residential and commercial property, but not agricultural land, plantations or farmhouses. Other foreign nationals can usually not buy, apart from limited exceptions, so ask a lawyer before you transfer money. Stamp duty and registration charges are set by Madhya Pradesh and add several percent, so confirm current rates. Prefer projects registered with the state real estate regulator (RERA) and check title chains.

Only NRIs and OCIs can generally buy residential property. Other foreign nationals face tight restrictions, so take legal advice first.
The median is €36,023 and the price per m² is €534, because incomes and construction costs are far lower than in tier-one cities.
Plots can be risky if the land use or layout approval is unclear. Always verify title and zoning.
It registers real-estate projects and gives buyers a complaint route. Check a project is listed before paying a deposit.
