Brønderslev is a town in Vendsyssel-Thy in northern Jutland, with the larger city of Aalborg about half an hour away by road. Surrounding towns include Aabybro, Hjørring, Nørresundby, Aalborg and Storvorde; Løkken is a west-coast holiday town. Local jobs include agriculture, services and commuting to Aalborg. The low price per m² reflects a rural region with slow population growth.
Non-residents of Denmark who have not lived there for five years generally need permission from the Ministry of Justice to buy property, and holiday homes are the hardest category to obtain. EU citizens who will live in the home have easier routes, so confirm your status first. Registration of the deed (tinglysning) costs DKK 1,850 plus 0.6% of the price. Mortgage-credit institutions are the main lenders.

Usually only with Ministry of Justice permission unless an exemption applies, for example for residents. Apply before signing, or make the purchase conditional on approval.
Rural Danish housing is built on large plots with big family homes, and 47 of the 76 listings have five or more bedrooms. Heating costs for such homes can be significant.
Aalborg is the regional city and lies within commuting distance, but check journey times for your route.
They are the hardest category for non-residents to get permission for. Do not assume a coastal summer house will be approved.
