There are 432 houses, 175 apartments, 31 commercial and 24 land listings. Three-bedroom homes lead with 291, then 128 four-bedroom, 121 two-bedroom, 40 five-plus and 20 one-bedroom.
Browse the national houses for sale in Canada and apartments for sale in Canada pages to compare. Condo apartments here usually carry monthly fees and sit mainly in the Galt core and along the Grand River.
Cambridge is formed from three former towns: Galt, Preston and Hespeler, each with its own heritage main street. The Grand River runs through the middle, there is a GO bus link and access to Highway 401 for commuters heading to the Greater Toronto Area or to Kitchener-Waterloo's tech employers.
Buyers are commuters priced out of Toronto, families and investors. For comparison, Waterloo next door has a student-driven rental market, while Toronto is the benchmark for pricing.
Canada has restricted purchases of residential property by non-Canadians; the ban has been extended, so check whether it is still in force and which exemptions apply (for example some work-permit holders and permanent residents). Ontario also levies a Non-Resident Speculation Tax of 25% on certain purchases by foreign nationals, with some refunds available.
Other costs include Ontario land transfer tax, legal fees and title insurance. Our Canada buying guide lays out the sequence and the financing page covers lender requirements. The Canada hub lists other cities.

Generally yes. The median here is €3,373 per m² in our listings; compare with Toronto for the gap.
It depends on the status of the Canadian ban and your visa or residency category. Get legal advice before offering.
Galt suits heritage and riverfront living, Preston has older housing, and Hespeler has newer subdivisions and a village feel.
Apartments are 175 of 662 listings, so there is a decent condo market alongside detached houses.
