Buyer's guide: Buraydah
Buraydah is the capital of Qassim, a date-farming region in central Saudi Arabia, and it offers some of the lowest asking prices in our Saudi data. Our 121 listings have a median of €97,741, but foreign buyers face tight rules that must be checked first.

Bedrooms are mostly mid-sized to large: 20 listings have three bedrooms, 15 have five or more, 9 have four and only 4 have fewer than three. Large floor areas at low prices per square metre are typical for Saudi family housing outside Riyadh and Jeddah.

Buraydah is a conservative, family-oriented city about 330 km north-west of Riyadh. The local economy rests on agriculture, especially dates, and on trade and services; the annual date festival is a regional landmark. Buyers here are mostly Saudi families, so the market is local rather than expat-led, with little of the serviced-apartment stock of the big coastal cities.
In the same region you will find Unayzah and Al Bukayriyah, both a reasonable drive away. Riyadh is a different and much larger market, several hours by road or a short domestic flight.
Saudi Arabia's foreign-ownership law has been in force since January 2026 and lets non-Saudis own property in designated zones, while Makkah and Madinah remain heavily restricted. Buraydah is not a typical target area, so confirm whether the specific neighbourhood is open to foreign ownership before paying any deposit.
Typical costs include a real estate transaction tax of 5% and brokerage fees of around 2.5% (verify locally). Title is verified through the official registry, and a lawyer who knows Saudi procedure is essential. Our Saudi Arabia page and consultation guide set out the basics.

The median asking price is €97,741 across 121 listings. The middle half run from about €57,000 to €155,000, which is low by Saudi capital-city standards.
Only if the area is open to foreign ownership under the law in force since January 2026. Check the specific location with a Saudi lawyer before committing.
A 5% real estate transaction tax is the main one, plus brokerage fees. Confirm current rates and who pays with your lawyer.
Much cheaper per square metre, with larger homes, but a thinner resale and rental market for foreign investors. Riyadh has the deepest demand.
