The region
Abha is the capital of Asir, in the south-western mountains, where summer temperatures are far lower than on the coast or in Riyadh, and the area is a domestic tourism and weekend destination. Abha Airport links to the main Saudi cities. Khamis Mushait, a larger neighbouring city, hosts a military base and commercial centres. Buyers are mostly Saudi households and domestic investors; foreign buyers are a small segment.
