Buyer's guide: Ringkøbing
Ringkøbing is a small town on the fjord of the same name in west Jutland, a few kilometres from the North Sea. RealEstateAbroad currently lists 124 properties here with a median asking price of €327,138. It is a houses-and-villas market, and Denmark's foreign-buyer permission rules shape what is realistic.

| Measure | Figure |
|---|---|
| Listings | 124 |
| Median asking price | €327,138 |
| Lower to upper quartile | €213,409 to €457,893 |
| Median price per m² | €2,718 |

Houses account for 62 of the 124 listings and villas for 55, with 4 apartments and 3 plots. Large homes are the norm: 59 listings have five or more bedrooms, 37 have four, 20 have three and 7 have two.
See Denmark house listings and Denmark villa listings for national context. Apartments are scarce here, so look at Denmark apartment listings for urban options.
Ringkøbing Fjord is a shallow lagoon known for windsurfing and kitesurfing, and the North Sea coast, dunes and wide beaches begin a short drive west. The region has many holiday homes ('sommerhuse') and a small-town economy supported by services, agriculture and wind-energy and manufacturing firms. Winters are windy and mild by Nordic standards. The nearest large cities are Herning and Aarhus, and the trip to Aarhus takes around 1.5 hours.
West Jutland offers big plots and sea air for modest sums, but a non-resident has to clear the permission hurdle first.
Non-residents generally need Ministry of Justice permission to buy Danish property, and holiday homes are the hardest category, which matters in a coastal area like this one. If you live or work in Denmark, the rules are easier.
Other points: registration tax of about 0.6% plus fees, a condition report, and an optional ownership insurance policy. Discuss with a Danish lawyer; see our Denmark buying guide and Denmark financing page. Danish mortgages typically come from mortgage-credit institutions with strict affordability tests.

Only with permission from the Danish Ministry of Justice, and holiday homes are rarely approved for non-residents. Seek legal advice before you proceed.

The fjord is in town and the North Sea coast is a short drive away, with dunes and beaches at places such as Hvide Sande.
Very few. Only 4 of 124 listings are apartments, so buyers mostly choose among houses and villas.
Windy, with cool summers and mild, wet winters. Insulation and roof condition are worth checking in coastal houses.
