The Presqu'île, between the Rhône and Saône, is the commercial and retail centre. Vieux Lyon has Renaissance streets, Croix-Rousse is a hillside former silk district with a bohemian reputation, Part-Dieu is the business and rail hub, and Confluence is a modern waterfront redevelopment. Brotteaux and the 6th arrondissement are classic bourgeois addresses, and Gerland is regenerating. Lyon is well connected by TGV, and the Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport serves international routes.
The nearby links in our data are not neighbours: Paris, Cannes and Megève are other French markets, and Megève, an Alpine resort, is a long drive away.
Foreigners can buy freely in France. A notaire handles the transfer; notary fees on resales are about 7% to 8% of the price, and lower (around 2% to 3%) on new builds. Check the co-ownership regulations and recent charges in the copropriété for flats, and zoning and lease terms (bail commercial) for business premises.

The Presqu'île, Croix-Rousse, Vieux Lyon and Confluence appear often in buyer enquiries because of their character and transport access.
Yes. Check the lease terms, permitted use and zoning with a lawyer.
Approximately 7% to 8% on resale property and 2% to 3% on new builds. Verify with the notaire.
Paris is about two hours away by TGV, but it is a separate market from Lyon.
